The. committee/ made an 1 application to the Board for a grant and were successful in obtaining £400 for the erection of a new room. This' amount is now available and tenders will' shortly be callled for the work. The school funds shovr a credit; balance of £5 5s 3_d. The caretaker's cpntract expires on May 21st, and as the- usual . caprtation grant of 9d per head "on the average attendance is to be discontinued, it will Be necessary for the new committee to try to obtain an extra grant for caretaking, as the present allowance is far too finall for the amount of work that has to ba done. "In conclusion your "(jommittee tender their sinceie thanks to all those who have .so {generously assisted in giving- tihehj, a pleasant' 'and prosperous year 'of office, and trust that the same support will be given to the new enmrnittfce.—Signed' on behalf of the Committee, ~" , i!j CHAS. -P.
