A VETERINARY SCHOOL.
WELLINGTON, Aug. 3. Replying to a deputation of O.ai?-, members' to-day in regard to a Dunedin veterinary school' the Minister (Mr McNab). said that it was Che intention of the Agricultural ; Department afier the veterinary school had started to turn out to impor no men.. The only could provide enough locally trained men who could be selected in preference to imported men. The only point he was an doubt about was whether the Department would be able to guarantee to take a fixed number say ten, directly the first' course had been completed. 'He hoped to be able to announce that the Government would take the first ten men who had been trained locally.
