A STEAMER ADRIFT

(Reed. 28th 11.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 28. The Bteamer Darius, while shifting her berth, was caught by the tide and flood waters in Newcastle. She swung down on the barquentine Jane L. Stanford, which was about to sail foT San Francisco and seriously damaged her. THe Darius then drifted ashore on a rocky bottom and remained fast. It is expected to float h"er off next tide.
