A meeting of the Grey Harbor Board wasv-held yesterday morning at 11.30. Present— -Messrs Petrie (chair), Guinness, Alison, Michel, Murdoch. Hannan. CHAIRMAN'S REPORT. The chairman reported that Mr Raymond's appointment had been ratified by. the Minister of Marine, and Mr Raymond left for Home on Thursday. The contract for the dredge had been signed by the Board. The Chairman moved, that the Board express its surprise that the working expenses on the Gfevxßrunner railway and wharf were steadily increasing, and that the Minister of Railways be asked to supply full details of expen diture. •Mr Murdoch seconded. Carried. Mr A. Blair, 'fireman, of the- tug, wrote resigning his position. Resolved that applications be called for th P position, Mr Simon Gundy wrote objecting to the Board taking his section in conI nection with the lagoon docks as it was on part Municipal Reserves." It was pointed out by Mr Alison that Mr McDonald had been refused a lease of the same land, and h e could not see •how they could now grant it to Mr Moriarty.
