NELSON, June 25. ' The dispute- between - the Friendly Societies in the Motueka district and the local branch of the British Medical Association has practically been ended by a conference of the' Societies agreein/ to the doctor's terms, viz. :— 2ss per member per annum; mileage after fiis: two miles, members is a mile one wa> and families 2s mile ; 'rate, and a half- after sunset. ' The conference very unwillingly conceded the demands, as they held they had no option. The .single members have agreed to an exUj. levy of 15s per year. The individual societies have yet to assent, and if- they do so the boycott will be at once removed, and new terms will come into operation in six months' time.
