JTHE CAMPAIGN OPENED. . /^HOKITIKA, June 25 " The election campaign for the West land seat • commenced this evening when a most enthusiastic and crowded meeting of "the supporters of Mr T. Y. Seddon was held, the attendance of ladies being very large. • A. strong executive committee was form ed of which Mr M. Pollock was appointed chairman. Steps were taken to organise sub-committees in the country districts.
