A man named" Charles William John- , ,ur> died at the Auckland Hospital this ■iorning as a-result of a fall from the vliarf to the deck of the scow Southern !?le on the 15th inst. William Brooke when shooting near Waiuku in compnay with a man named Hudson was accidentally shot dead. Brooke is well krlown in the Waikatr and is a married man with a 'son at Samoa. - - - STRATFORD, June 25. Miss Ivy Clayton,' of Stratord, was t«o victim of a shocking accident on Saturday evening. She "was riding a restive horse. The animal reared, falling on its back on her.
