"LONDON,_June 25 The Tribune's Johannesburg correspondent states that a compromise with regard to the constitution is being arranged and a number of representative progressives have gone to Capetown to interview Ridgway's com mission on the matter. The Boers agree that Parliamentshould consist of thirty " three representatives from the Witwaterrand, thirty from the country, and six from Pretoria. They will accept msnheod suffrage instead* of the population basis if the Commission consents. They favor single member constituencies. The Progressives are willing to compromise in order to remove the depression' and to stop the exodus. They are prepared to face a temporary. Boer majority provided that Brit-ish-.:;supremacy is assured and on the creation of a nominated upper chamber for "five years- with automatic redistribution which "will restore the mastery through the inflow of population.
