There was quite a gathering of West Coast mayors in town yesterday, and at lunch at Revington's Hotel there were Messrs Gothard, Mayor of Westport, Mandl, Mayor of Hokitika, J. A. Petrie, Mayor of Grey, Murdoch, Mayor of Kumara, and Russell, Mayor of Brunner.
The remains of the late Stanley Williams, of Brunnerton, were interred in the Stillwater cemetery on Sunday afternoon. There was a large concourse of mourners present. The funeral service was performed by Ensign -Green of the Salvation Army.
