1 (PER JPREBB ASSOCIATION-.) WELLINGTON, Oct 3. At the Magistrates Court to-day Henry Banks, Post Office letter . carrier, pleaded guilty to having permitted certain postal packets to be delayed in delivery, and was remanded to » the Supreme Court for sentence. Walter Clements Hampton, a butcher, was committed for trial for allegedly detaining and refusing fo deliver the afore« said packets. It appeared that Banks left a number of circulars at Hampton's shop, and subsequently when application for them was made by another letter caaiier, Hampton, it was alleged, refused to hand them over. It was stated that Banks owed Hampton money and there was a suggestion that the latter had reftmed to restore the circulars until the whole i amount of the account was paid.
