Westport v Grey

A match was commenced on fche Park yesterday between a Westpert Rep team and the Grey Club. Rain greatly interfered with the game, anl play did not commence until 2 30. Westport batted firsfc and made a go d start, fche first wicket falling with the score at 26, but the other wickets only add^d 15, the last four wickets falling with the score at 41. Ryan 22 was the only man to reach double figures. Horton was in splendid form aud sewed 6 wickets for 1 1 runs. Grey replied with 92, Thompson (nob oub) 19 being top scorer. Griffiths 4 for 39 and Cates 3 for 5 bowled best for the visitors. During the afternoon tea was provided by Mrs W Faithful. The scores are :— - Westport, lsfc innings.
