Chamberlain's South African Progress
The Compensation Question
De la Ray wili Help Chamberlain (Received at 11 45 p. m.) Capetown, Jan 27. The burghers of Licbtenwurg and Ottoshoop cordially welcomed Mr Chamberlain, who statd that Lord Milner was about to issue a proclamation with the object of speedily fiaishing the compensation question. De la Rey promise- to do his utmost to help. He added that now, all differences having i een removed, all ought to unite to repair the ravages caused by the war.
