The weather was five for the concluding day's racing, and the attendance fairly good, and speculation well sustained, L 23,434 going through the totes af against L 27.831 last year, when there was three days' racing. The results are : — January Handicap— -Petrovna 1, Somerled 2, Hinekoa 3. All started but Hohoro aad General Symons. Won easily by a length. Tim*-, 128 4-5 ; divs, L2ss 6d and L 2 17s 6d. Fitzherbert Handicap— Auratus 1, Gladsome 2, Starshoot 3. Waitarere also ran. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 1 17; div, L 4 15s. R C Handicap — Pallas 1, Cannie Chiel 2, Canteen 3. All started. Pallas jumped away with the lead and was never caught, winning somewhat easily by two lengths. Time, 2 8|; div*, L 6 10s 6d and LI 3s. The stewards enquired into Pallas's running on Thuriday and considered the explanation satisfactory. Foneke Hack Handicap — Catherine Gordon il, Shackle 2, Narcotic 3. Scratched-^- Lolah and Hatley. Woti easily by two lengths. Time, 129 2*5 j divs, L6 2s and L3 6. A protest was lodged against the first aud second horses for inconsistency, but ib was dismissed. Wellesley Stakes— Treadmill 1, Kiag Log 2, Regiment 3. Only starters. Won after a good finish by a nose. Time, 49-5 sees ; div, L 4 10s. Zealandia Plate — Advance 1, Cannie Chiel 2. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 2 8 ; div, LI 2s. Metropolitan Handicap — Hohoro 1, Ayrdale 2, Somerled 3. Petrovua was scratched. Won by a length. Time, 2 25 3«5 ; divs, LI 19s and LI 5s 6d. Pencarrow Hack Handicap — Wnikakaho 1, Aldinga 2, Good Intent 3. Scratched — Romany Lass, Kowhete, Betsy, Ringman, Dodona and Wind. Won by two lengths. Tiuie, 1 16 3>5 ; divs, L23 la and L 2 Is.
