WEST COAST RU GBY UNION

The annual meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union was held last evening at the Albion Hotel. Present— Messrs Benjamin (chair), Walton, Hannan.MPhfllipsj Cox, Dorreen, Angel and Wickes. The minutes of the previous annual meeting were read and confirmed, the annual balance sheet showing accredit of L 4, and the report received ana adopted. The Brunner club was nominated for senior honors and the Blackball Rovers and Nelson Creek clubs nominated as juniors. The election of officers resulted as follows : __President, Mr Hannan, Esq ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs Gieseking, Evans, J Scott, Dr M'llroy, and another to be nominated by Nelson Creek club; Committee, Messrs Burke, Dorreen, Hannan, Walton, R M'Cormick and Angel ; selection committee, Messrs Evans, Walton and secretary ; postponement and reinstatement committee, treasurer and secretary ; auditor, Mr H Wickes ; delegate to New Zealand Union, E Batchelor, Esq ; Vice-President to New Zealand Rugby Union, M'Efcnnan, Esq. . Resolved that steps be taken to induce the Auckland Rugby Union to visit the Coast during their southern tour. A vote of thanks to the retiring ofheers terminated the proceedings.
