The Governor and Mr Saddon were enthusiastically reoeived at Haatlngs today and subsequently prooeeded to the Waipatu Maori settlement, where the nablvea had made great preparations for their entertainment. Handreds of Maoris asßßiabled to do honot to tha Governor. Several native Chiefs made s eeahea dealing with their grievances In respect to native lands. Lord Ranfnrly addressed the Maoris at some length, making an interesting speeoh, at the conclusion of which ho was heartily cheered. Various Ma rl dancea were given.
