Wellington, February 10. A fire broke out this morning on board the harbor steamer Mana, causing about L2OO damage. It originated in one of the bunkers containing cotton waate, which It is supposed became ignited by spontaneous combustion. The flames were extinguished by the fire brigade. The veaael was uninsured.

(Received February 11, at 12 30 a m.) Melbourne, February 9. Nine of the crew of the Orient, from Glasgow, have been landed suffering from lead poisoning, supposed to have been contained in the sugar supplied to the ship. One man has since died.
