J (Received February 9, at 12 30 a m.) London, February 8. Wool sales continue firm and bidding is brisk. Foreign buyers have taken twothirds of the number of bales sold. Tallow — medium mutton, 26s 6d. American wheat market shows a. further advance. There are very few American shipments. The total quantity of wool catalogued up to date is 145,600 bales, of which 138 000 bales hava been sold. Hides, salted heavy ox, 353 l-6d. " Leather, best heavy 9d. Silver, 3a lOi.
