THANKING THE NIZAM.
Calcutta, October 11.
His Excellency the Viceroy of India has forwarded a letter to the Nizam of Hyderabad, in which he expresses the warmest thanks of the Imperial Government for the magnanimous and opportune offer of assistance. His Excellency adds that Her Majesty the Queen is extremely gratified by the welcome offer proferred as a fresh proof of the friendship of the Nizam for the British Empire.
