The Speaker read a meaaage from the Governor, covering a copy of the despatch from Her Majeaty's principal Secretary of t State, respecting an address to the Queen from both Housea of the General j Aaaembly on the occasion of Her Majesty's ' Jubilee. Sir Henry Holland intimated that "if the address had arrived in time for Sir W. Fitzherbert and Sir F. D. Bell to take it with them when they attended on Her Majesty for a similar purpose in connection with the Colonial Conference, the opportunity could have been taken for them to present this very beautiful address and cover to the Queen in person ; but it would not have been convenient to request Her Majesty to receive the same gentlemen afier a short interval again. I have therefore caused the address to be transmitted to the Queen, who was pleased to receive it very gracefully, and to express Her Majesty's admiration of the beauty and artisHc merit of the ornamental work."

Atkinson said he should probably have to ask for aa Imprest Sapply Bill, and also for an amendment for the Public Revenues Act, to enable the Government to issue a small amount of deficiency bills, aa there were large claims for interest falling due within the next few days, amounting in aU to about half-a-milllon.
