A bill before the Senate of Minnesota provides that an assault by bludgeon or pistol upon an editor or correspondent for malicious libel shall not be considered a violation of the penal code. TheJPresbyterian Church olaims that it has already spent £180,000 iv mission work in the New Hebrides. Two navvies working on the Inglewood and Dunolly railway, Victoria, found a nugget of the value of over £1000.
