New PiYMOiTTH, January 24. A.honae at Denbigh, between Walpuku and Midhurst, was burnt down on Satur-day-afternoon. The owners were at New Plymouth at the time, and a child of theirs was burnt to death. - .-•• Auckland, January 24 - The action of James Hawaii v Felix Monaghan for LSOO damages for seduction of plaintiffs' daughter is being heard at the civil sittings of the Supreme Court today. The case J. S. Gibbons v Union Insurance Company, for recovery of £755 15s, being the the amount of insurance on the property burned down was palled, but Campbell, for the plaintiff, intimated that the claim was settled.
