MAORIS AGAIN TROUBLESOME.

Sergeant Anderson and Constable Franklyn arrested eight natives to-day on a charge of stealing pigs from the property of Walter Sfcoddart in the bush about six miles from Manaia. None of the prisoners has made any reference to To Whiti or Titokowaru. The Natives have sheath knives- and a gun, but offered no resistance when arrested. Will apply for a remand until Thursday.
