Late telegrams. —The cricket match between the Australians and the Yorkshire team has been drawn. — The Prince of Wales has drawn up a memorandum with the view of ascertaining what the Colonies are prepared to contribute towards the maintenance of a Colonial Museum. — Salisbury has gone to see the Queen. — Dilke still maintains that he is innocent. — Babear beat Kemp easily in a sculling match. A young man named Guy Williams broke his leg while playing football in Christchurch on Wednesday last. Messrs' Nancarrow and Co. will sell household furniture today on the premises, Preston R«ad ; also, at their rooms cordials, produce, &c. The time for receiving tenders for launching the Wallabi expires to-day. Captain M'Coll, of U.S.S. Cos. s.s. Mawhera (says a Westport paper) having resigned, Captain Hill of the Company's Grafton, has been appointed to fill the vacancy. Mr North, chief officer of the Mawhera, taking Captain Hill's place on the Grafton. It is stated that proceedings are being taken in the Supreme Court at the instance of the Great Republic Company to have the sale under distress prohibited.
