In sending the report of the election of a doctor for the Grey Valley Miners' Association, I omitted to state that Dr Smith, , if appointed, would keep an assistant up here and continue visiting as at present. ■ Hearing^that the report sent down^niight^affeijt^hls-^ -pi 'justiqe . in Greymouth, I forward 'this explanation. • ; ■ , ' July 25. ■ A rather serious accident happened at Dobaon Town yesterday to Mr John Giblin. It appears' that he was working in a gravel pit when a quantity of clay and boulders fell, striking him about the ankle and breaking some of the small bones and putting the ankle out of place. He was taken to the^ hospital this morning. Dr Foot' has accepted the position of doctor for the Grey Valley Miners' Association.
