THE MAORI PRISONERS.

Opunake, July 22. At the Court to-day, Te Whiti and the other nine prisoners were charged with forcibly entering land belonging to Hastie. Inspector Pardy said the evidence was pretty well the same as that given before, and that although Te Whiti was not present he acts equally guilty with the others. The only new feature in the evidence was that given by Te Wheti, a Parihaka Native of rank, who said Te Whiti gave orders to him to plough land at Oakaru, and that the prisoners had been present when Te Whiti told the Parihaka Natives to enter upon European land. The Court is sitting to-night.
