Westland, tug steamer Dispatch, tug steamer. Timaru, from Lyttelton
Commander Edwin wired urgent at noon yesterday that bad weather maybe expected between north-east and north and west within 10 hours, with further fall of glass, and considerable and increasing Bea. The s.s., Ohau managed to get away yesterday' morning with a full cargo of coal after lying here since the 28th ult. ' The detention was mainly due to the holiday season, the miners being on pleasure bent, and, therefore, in no humor for work. " :■■■. The s.s. Pelham sailed for Wellington yesterday. The Government steamer Stella, Captain W. Gray, arrived from the south yesterday morning on lighthouse duty ; received some supplies on b'oafcd, and proceeded south again to Puysegur Point lighthouse, and then on to Wellington via the East Coast. The b.b; Kennedy is due here from Hokitika this morning. The s.s. Timaru sails this morning for Wellington. . The Union Company and Black Diamond Line steamer Mahinapua leaves Dunedin for West .Coast ports (calling at Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Nelson), on Friday, Bth inst.
