A STEAMBOAT COLLISION.

At| 2 'o'clock, this morning when the whalitigjgteimer Minnie Casey was on her passage from Dargaville she collided with the Bteamer Tangihua off Beacon Point, Wairoa River. On the steamers nearing each other the Tangihua suddenly starboarded rher Belm, running .completely/ under th'e 'bows' of the Minnie Casey,' which struck her on the starboard Bide, All on*boafd the Tangihua jumped on to the andthe^ fortner vessel steamed about without control for eight minutes, and sank. All the lights were burning. The cause of the collision was in consequence of ; the Tangihua's helmsman going starbo^d instead of port. The Tangihua is owned by Captain Seymour, and was uninsured.; SThfe Minnie Casey is slightly damaged on-'theipor,t. bow.
