A SAMOAN LAND CLAIM.
It is currently reported.that the representatives'of a syndicate interested in Cornwall's claim over lahcls now held at Samoa by McArthur..and^Cp.., proceeded to Samoa by the s.s Mararpa, with the intention of occupying certain of the lands in dispute, and are resolved to hold possession against the ejectment. A statement is. current to the effep't that the syndicate formed to prosecute, these . claims have taken these means to assert their assumed rights.
