Open to all beaten horses. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. All stakes paid less 5 per cent. Three horses must start for each race or the public money will be withheld. 2. No entry will be received except upon the distinct understanding that the decision of the Stewards, or whomsoever they may appoint, shail in all cases be final, and all law proceedings barred. : 3. All entries for the Hack Races and Produce Stakes shall be made subject to the approval of the Stewards. 4. All horses must.be ridden in colors. 5. In the event of any person lodging a protest, the sum of 1 soy. shall be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is ;.cpnaidered. The amount so deposited will be forfeited to the race funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. 6. Any person entering a horse shall pay the sum of £1 Is to the race fund in order to qualify. The races will be conducted under the Canterbury Jockey Club rules as far as the same are applicable.
