THE ENGLISH ELECTIONS.
November 26. Up to the present time 86 Liberals and 88 Conservatives have been elected. Lord Randolph Churchill has been returned for Paddington by a large majority. Sir Michael Hicks-Beach, Sir Assheton Cross, and Sir William Barcourt, have secured seats, while Mr Childers, Mr Shaw Lefe.bre, and Sir Henry Drummond Woolfe have been defeated. .'■ The Liberals have carried the whole of the Birmingham constituencies as -well as the Portsmouth seat, while Conservative candidates have been returned for Liverpool, Blackburn, St. Edmunds, Exeter, Coventry, Cheltenham, Croydon, Colchester, Cambridge, Launceston, Warrington, Plymouth, Taunton, Rochester, Rtalybridge, Durham, Brighton, Reading, Pontefract, Salford, Stockport, Hackney* and Christchurch.,
