SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE COMPANY.
The annual meeting of the South British Insurance Company took place today. The chairman regretted the unprofitable character of the year's business. The balance from last year was 113,746. The premiums for the year were L 257,957, and the interest and increased value of the investments L 22,070 after paying expenses, and a five per cent dividend. The balance carried forward i? L 824.
