RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
Christchuch, May 2. An accident occurred at .the Lyttelton railway station this morning, by which the shunting engine was damaged through colliding with the train on the main line. It is said that the man in charge of the engine was off it trying to open the points, and that he ran back to the engine, but could not catch it in time.
