A SUIT FOR DAMAGES.
At the Supreme Court civil sitting the cases of E. C. Jones and John Duthie was heard. Plaintiff is engineer of the Wellington Harbor Board and defendant a member of that body. The action was brought to recover £2000 damages for alleged defamation of character. A. nonsuit was entered.
