NELSON CRIMINAL SESSIONS.— A MAN OF MANY ALIASES.
Nelson, December 20. The Supreme Court opened to-day with criminal business. Charles Stratford, alias Coleman Phillips, alias George Webb, alias George Smith, alias George Lee, was indicted for horse stealing. He was found guilty and sentenced to six years' hard labor. He had three previous convictions in Wellington on a charge of keeping a disorderly house. This cons eludes the criminal business, after this the case or Williams v. the Queen will coma off.
