ARRIVAL OF THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL AT AUCKLAND.

Auckland, August 23. The City of New York arrived at 2 a. m. She Bailed from San Francisco on July 30, at 2 p.m. For the first day out she experienced a heavy sea. From the Tonga Group to Auckland, strong south-westers and heavy southerly swell. She stopped off the Island of Utahi, Navigators, and discharged three passengers, but waß de« layed only 23 minutes. A Hogan Ourbin, pabsenger, died on the passage. The passengers for Auckland are — Messrs Grand, Price, Jarvis, Manders, Hadfield, Mrs Hadneld and child, Mrs WeldoD, Miss Agnes Prendergast; and six Bteerage.
