Thb Wine of St. Raphael.— The "Via St. Raphael" contains as much Iron in a dose as is usually prescribed; it also contains 'the same amount of Quinine, and is abundant in its Tannic properties, and while it contains all these matters to the fullest extent that would in the ordinary course be prescribed by a medical man, you have a fall-bodied, sweet, liqueur Wine, resembling a Conatantia, with the flavor of a Port, hence it is so valuable to infants, young children, and persons suffering from debility. The " Yin St. Eaphael " is made in Valence, in the Province of Drome, in France, and unlike Brandy or other Spirits, or even Wine Quinined, it does not affect the head. It ia not a stimulant, it is a restorative, and the only harm that could possibly occur would bo by giving a weakly patient an overdone tbe effect of which would be to cause vomiting, from the stomach receiving too much nourishment at one time. —Duncan M 'Lean, Agent, Greymoutb.
