Bombay, Feb. 13. The Indian Government has offered a contingent of troops for the Cape. , London, Feb. 14. The Premier made a statement similar to that made injthe Commons, calling upon the nation to wipe put the disasteij in Zulnland. The Afghanistan expedition had achieved the independance of Afghanistan. He was in hopes that the weather improving would mitigate the distress;. AS a meeting of the London Committee in connection with the Sydney Exhibition to-day, it was stated ;that the British Admiralty would lend its valuable scientific apparatus for the Exhibition. It was further announced that France requires 6000 metres of space for exhibits. It is stated here [that South Australia intends checking immigration.
