The above useful and elegant articles are fast becoming great favorites with house* holders, and are well worth the notice of anyone who desires to secure elegance combined with utility, The Blinds are made of very thin corrugaed iron, are exceedingly flexible, and the painting resembles enamel— from its brilliance and. elasticity. They are proved to be much better adapted for warm climates than the Wood Blinds ; the extreme thinness of the laths rendering them almost nonconductors, the heat remaining but a very bhort time in them, quita contrary to the effect produced by the sun on Wooden Venetian Blinds ; their corrugated surfaces also tend to soften and subdue the light* further, the current of air passing over the corrugations in a rippling manner keeps them cool. The laths do not blister or 'warp with the sun. The color is sufficiently flexible to prevent chipping, being heated during the process of coloring to a temperature of. 170 degrees, and do not require repainting as tbe Wood Blinds j they are a-e easily restored when dirty by washing the laths in warm water with a little dissolved soap, or a damp sponge— then the color will be as new. When dvawn up, they do not occupy more than half the space of Wood Blinds and much lighter, and have no chance of breaking or splitting as wood ; and all Blinds are supplied with patent action to hold the Blind np, and therefore do not require the cord making fait,
