The Sydenham Borough Council feel annoyed at not having been invited to the late banquet. The Mayor was invited, but he refused to attend without his colleagues. The house of Dr Sims was almost burnt down this morning by an incendiary. James Smith, a groom in his employ, was afteswards arrested for arson. He is supposed to have a spite against the doctor. He was remanded for a week.
