Lyttelton, June 3,
The ketch Margaret, that left here seven weeeks ago for the Amuri Bluff, returned to port to-day. She was driven off the land and experienced a succession of gales, the crew enduring great privations ; the allowance of food was reduced to two potatoes and egg-cup full of water each for ien days. For five days they were without food or water, and on Saturday the schooner Cora, of Dunedin, gave them provisions, and on Sunday the schooner Spray sighted them. Captain Ruxter stood by the ketch all night, and towed her into harbor this morning. The Margaret is not damaged at all ; the only loss she sustained was that of her head sails.
