Sir,-— 1 : have' noticed several para- j graphs in yourpaper lately commenting! on the Greymouth State (School, andj notably one in your issue of this morning, i drawing the attention of parents to. thei necessity of procuring a regular, attend-' ance of their children— (To ensure good results at the next examination). I would: like to know why the prizes awarded; at the last examination (December, 187/")! have not yet been given to those who' gained them, and whether it is part of the system we hear so muoh about.
