. Kaikoxtra, May 18. The polling for the Cheviot election is as follows : — For Saunders— At Kaikbura, 59 ; Waiau, 43 ; pheviot, 2. For Jnglis — At Kaikoura, .43 ; Waiau, 5 ; Cheviot, 5. The returns from Glenmark give 16 votes for Saunders, and 16 fbr'lnglis. The present majority for Saunders is 25.
