Charlotte Rout, a girl aged 18, says he put his hands up her clothes while she was going up the ladder ; the matron, Miss Gowan, being a witness. Alice Spanswick, a married woman, accuses him of wilful neglect, whereby her only child, eight months' old, died; The night before it died the doctor said it did not matter, it was only a little bastard. The doctor denies all the charges, and makes very light of his situation. The inquiry was adjourned till Tuesday, to enable him to bring rebutting testimony.
