Millar, Jobberns, Hinchcliffe, Hunter ; and three others. Purser, agent. SAILED. June 27— Nil. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Dispatch, from Hokitika. Kennedy, from Wellington. Murray, from Nelson. Spray, from Lyttelton. Alhambra, from Nelson, &c. Wi'd Duck, from Lyttelton. Mary Ogilvie, from Dunedin. Tararua, from Melbourne; Omeo, from Melbourne. Otago, from Melbourne. Zephyr, from Melbourne. VESSELS IN PORT. Janet Grey, from Wellington. Wallace, from Nelson. Charles Edward, from Nelson. The p.s. Wallace crossed the bar on Saturday night from Nelson via Hokitika. and tho p.s. Charles Edward, belonging to the same line and from the same ports, arrived yesterday morning. The Wallace goes north tonight, and the Charles Edward on Tuesday morniug. The B.s. Otago left Nelson at 8 a.m. yesterday, and will consequently be off this port at tide-time, about 6 o'clock this morning. She takes passengers for Melbourne direct. There was no arrival of the s.s. Tararua off Hokitika when the Telegraph Office closed last night Most probably she will arrive during the night, and be tendered here this evening The s.s. Omeo arrived at the Bluff yesterdiy morning from Vleb ur"e direct. Her number of p ssengers and quantity of carg < •will be found in our telegraphic reports. >he will come on round the ports, and be _ despatched from here for Melbourne, via Newcastle, on or about Saturday next The Corsair was one of the best foul-weather boats of her size that has ever been seen iv these waters, and although twenty-five or thirty years of age, it was found two )ear3 ago, when she was placed on the slip, that her good old English oaken timbers were as sound as ever, and hard enough to turn the carpenters' chise's She was pnpper-fastened throughout, built by Ratsay. in Southampton ■water, and first distinguished herself in a race from the Isle of Wight round the Eddystone lighthouse and back 'o the Isle a.aiu.. Her opponent was the Talisman, a fine model of a cutter, but unable to Hold her owu ir the gale that prevailed against such a splendid sea-boat as the Corsair, which was subs-'---cmently purchased by Captain Kreeft. who. in 1853. brought out his family in her to Victoria, an • sold her to our Government for the pilot service.— Geelong Advertiser.
