Geogehan y. Roche ,and Co. — Thisiwas a claim- of L2B 16s as wages, for work done at Nelson Creek. The defendants are the contractors for making the Lake Hochstetter race, and the * plaintiff, : with two others entered into a sub-contract to perform a certain quantity ,-of work at L 6 10s per chain. After working: for 16 days the plaintiffs left without completing their icon tract. They now sued for wages for the work done. The defendants pleaded that it was not their fault the plaintiffs did not complete their sub-contract, according to the agreement made before they began work, and that as the plaintiffs released themselves from the contract, they were not ; entitled to payment for the work performed; eyeh; if it' had been done satisfactorily, i which was,. not the case. The Magistrate . took this view of the case, and gave judgment; '''for the defendants with costs. Mr Staite. for; the ; Hogan y. Magill.— A claim of L2l 5s for eight weeks and three .days' wages at L 2 10s per week. The plaintiff said that he was engaged to work at a farm at 25s a week, but as he was put to drive a waggon on the roads, which required a greater amount of skill, he was entitled to a higher rate of wages. The property was claimed by Michael Noonan (who made good his right, and the bailiff was ordered to withdraw. No costs.

[ Noonan v. Woolshire, John Reid claimant. — A similar action to the above, on aa interpleader summons. . The bailiff, who had seized the property at the suit of the plaintiff, was directed, to Bell, and after satisfying the plaintiff's claim, the balance was to goto the claimant. Reid, as it did not appear there had been collusion between him and Woolshire, the defendant. :

Marr and Lock v. Chomley and Bates. — A claim of L3l 5s lid, for goods supplied at Napoleon in ]870. Verdict for the amount with costs.

Same v. Johnstone. — A claim of Ll7 18s, for goods supplied at Cariboo in 1871. Verdict, by consent, for the amount claimed with costs.

Tne Executors of Geo. Muir v. O. Clegg. — A claim of Lls, the amount of an IO U. Verdict for plaintiffs with costs.

Same v. Hunt. — For L 5 on an I O U. Judgment for the amount claimed with costs. ■'-.■... .

Elliott. — Ll ; 10s for timber supplied. The amount to be paid in one' month. Wright v. Kirkman. — L 3 15s for boots supplied at Moonlight in 1868. Hamilton v. Gowden. —For \L2 10s 7d.
