Port Chalmers, June 8,
The s.s. Atrato, Captain Husband, from London, 59 days out,. has arrived. She called at the Cape to coal and provision. She is in quarantine with six cases of measles. There have been 32 deaths, all but one were infants. No deaths from infectious diseases, but six from convulsions, nine from bowel complaint, arid. l 7 from croup. She has 762 souls on board, 189 for here and the rest fdrCanterbury There have been 120 cases of measles, all very mild.
New Plymouth, June 8,
Captain Henry King, R.NV, has died aged 72. He was the last survivor of the victory off Cape St. ; Vincent, in 1797, and was second lieutenant of the Seahorse.
