'In each handicap race there must be three starters, or no prize ; four starters, or no second prize ; five starters, or no third prize; and six starters, or no fourth prize. Heats in the Champion Races will be decided by running the middle distance. In each style of wrestling there must be eight competitors to ensure any public money being given ; six competitors, or no second prize ; and eight competitors, or no third or fourth prize.
