[ 215 0 And I would : suggest that advantage should be taker; of the present favorable opportunity of developing the district by completing the track to. the^ diggings, and enabling miners | ' to • get their provisiona without the great loss of time in swagging; them, . so that . they could . work any fair ground 'at : a ; profit, and. could; also pro-" spect ground many miles inland^ with aslittle labor in swagging as is now necessary in working bri^the diggings. o^Haying been iuformed just before leav r ing,' ■ tha'c ' a' 'coal seam-had been found by Mr^ William. Fox, I requestedjMr Arthur tbmake inquiry, and, if desirable, jtb-incur the expense -of obtaining, and forwarding a sample of the coal.
