Two men, it appears, came before him, each urging that lie was the husband of a certain woman, and the magistrate pretended to settle the dispute by ruling that each should keep the woman for a fortnight alternately. One claimant agreed at once, the other indignantly protested against it. The woman was at once made over to the latter.
