ARRIVAL OF THE GOTHENBURG.

Pearce, commander, left Hobaon's Bay on the afternoon of the 27th ultim6, at three o'clock, and cleared Port Phillip Heads at 6 p.m., passed Cape Schanck at 7.30 p.m., was abreast of Swan Island at 5.30 p.m. on the 28th. Experienced moderate westerly winds until the 30th, and afterwards fresh south-west winds till making the land at daylight on the Ist instant; passed the Solander at 10 a.m., and arrived at the Bluff at 4 p.m. Passenger List.— For Dunedin :Mr C. Fisher has been seriously hurt by a buggy accident. He had purchased the horse which caused Sleight's 1 death, and was driving him in a buggy when he bolted. A complimentary concert for Horsley and Kendall's benefit takes place to-night, and promises to be a grand affair. The tickets are nearly all sold. The return ball to the Mayor, on Thursday, was an unqualified success. ; Claud Farie died on Monday, aged 53. Ellis, acting sheriff, is likely to get the appointment ; but a strong interest i s brought to bear iv favor of others. The warrant is signed for the execution of Cusack next Tuesday. • The Alhambra sailed for Fiji Islands, full of passengers. The brig Yarrow and barque Sussex, coal-laden, from Newcastle, have been wrecked outside Queenscliff. Both crews were saved.
